Forums - Sales Discussion - NA Lost Odyssey selling better?

Quite a few stores around where I live are selling the game pretty well and are having to restock.  Will this be a slow burning success in this country?

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Here in Australia a fair bit of restocking is being done of the game around me. I don't think it will sell fantastically by the end of it's life, but it will be the highest selling JRPG on the Xbox 360 so far.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I expect it to get to at least 500k lifetime, and will probably pick up my copy to play over the summer. My game time is rather limited for now because of school.

OT: Does anyone have any idea when it will release/how it will sell in Europe?

this game and gears 2 are the only two games that made me wish i still had my 360. but anyways i got TeH pLaYsTATiOn tRIPLe

I was drooling over this game, but I have heard a few bad things about it. Now I am just jealous. I still want it, but not as much as I did before.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Trust me Akuma, you want it.

After reading reviews I was turned off, but I bought the game... and couldn't believe I almost let some retards who hate traditional RPGs turn me off from one of the best jrpgs since the PS1

It's word of mouth is very good.

@ Sansui

I disagree. The first disc was fantastic in every way, but it starting to become just good since Ive beaten the 2nd and 3rd disc.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

PS360 - Best of Both Worlds

Dont get me wrong i love me some j-rpg's but I somewhat hope this game fails. Not because it's a bad game, but i despise the fact that MS basically bought the 2 best things japan has to offer as far as games are concerned. Sakaguchi for his creative ideas and Nobou for his music. Had sony or nintendo done this id be somewhat more understanding as their consoles have other good rpg's to compliment the "AAA" one's that mistwalker will create. Flame sheield up...
