Thousands of PS3 games stolen in heist

Monday, September 29 2008, 12:38 BST

By Liam Martin

Thieves have made off with seven pallets of PS3 games, including 16,000 copies of Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, in a heist thought to be worth £600,000.

According to The Sun, a Renault lorry containing the games was impounded by the police only to be stolen and emptied hours later.

The police are appealing for witnesses and have made some arrests after monitoring suspect eBay transactions.

Ubisoft have reassured fans that there won't be any stock shortages: "Fans needn't worry as more stock is being parachuted in."

Man, that sucks.

Where the hell are they going to sell that many games?

Wow, that is harsh. WTF are these thieves going to do with 16,000 copies of Brothers In Arms?

omg ps3 will lose thousands of units on its sales

Why would someone steal a world war 2 shooter! Everyone knows the real money is in modern shooters!

The truck was impounded by the police and then stolen hours later????

The police are doing a damn fine job...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Holy crap, that really sucks.

These numbers should be counted as sales ;)

I am pretty sure Rock_On had something to do with this... He couldn't stand ps3 coming in last in software totals every week so he took matters in to his own hands.
