hello.
a while back i tried to play 2 of my xbl arcade titles, marble blast and double dragon.
both had gone back to trail mode.
some users pointed out this could be because of a xbox licence migration, ie if you get a new console you have to transfer licences to use items you have downloaded.
so the other day i did the transfer it was quite easy you just log onto your xbox account online and click on migration, thus next time you turn on your xbox 360 online it auto migrates which is great.
BUT.
marble blast works fine but double dragon is still in trail mode.
i searched for double dragon on marketplace and guess what its not on there anymore? its just dissapeared.
ive just searched the net and found this http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/20088/Double-Dragon-Speedball-2-No-Longer-Available/
"Founded in 1987, Empire Interactive had a long history of publishing and developing games on systems from the Amiga all the way up to the Xbox 360. But the company was closed in May of this year. Now, its two Xbox Live Arcade games, Double Dragon and Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, have been removed from the service. It is not clear exactly when the removal occurred and no official announcement was made regarding the delisting. But if you look for the games on XBLA now, you will not find them."
so it now appears i have lost double dragon for good, what a fucking joke if you ask me. they should give you points back if they take games away like that.

i dont buy to many games as DL only titles, but double dragon was a great game i will miss it, i will think twice about downloading titles from marketplace again.
UPDATE: found an option for download history and found it there. it lets you download it but only a trial version. licences are already transferred so i doubt it theres nothing else to do.
i guess il have to leave it at that now

Before he left, d21lewis had exactly the same problem with Double Dragon. I don't think he was able to re-download it from his history, but he contacted Microsoft and they helped him somehow.

A Flower reference.

MS mentioned something about you always having it. Even if you delete the whole DL'ed game from your memory, you can go right back and re-download it whenever.
I feel the need..........the need for tweed.

That's crap, and why I prefer tangible media. Has d21 lewis left for good? Or just on holiday

Just call up MS customer support. They will help you get it back. If you paid for a game, you can get it again, wether its still up for general purchase or not

Slimebeast said: lol Skee, I bet you smiled when you found out that Double Dragon isn't available for download anymore so you got a reason to create another thread on the MS forum. |
Come on now, you can easily see that he plays 360 a good bit. I don't think this a trolling thread.
