Can't remember if I've already commented on this or not but this is a must-buy for the Wii. Ignore the reviews, this isn't going to leave my Wii console for months - it looks great, controls like a dream and the online play is excellent. Buy this now, you won't regret it.

This is a worthy buy. I have only played a little of the story, it is fast, fun and quite retro. Multiplayer is very good and is a very different experience than the more tactical World at War multiplayer. Game looks awesome on the Wii. There are some flaws that you will see, but they should not ruin the experience. I would give it a solid 8.0 out of 10.

Yeah, it's totally worth buying especially if you will play the multiplayer mode. The controls are the best I have seen in my entire life. Unfortunately the single player mode is very short, and that's the single problem of this game in my opinion.

This game is great!! graphics are pretty good, the controls are just awesome, and Mp is addictive and very enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good old Fps for the MP alone. Best Mp Rule set is Bounty Hunter. So fun!!!

Awesome game in campaign mode. Fun as hell. Online attempt was sad though, started match with black screen too and half a circle in the center. Since I had to turn off the Wii, I just called it a night and went to sleep (it was about 1:30am for me). Will try again tonight. Damn what a fun game this is. Worth the year wait in my opinion.

Updated Impressions
So last night I just played the multiplayer and must say that the experience was excellent.
I only experienced lag on 2 games out of many (around 20) and it was only slight lag. Joining games was quick and painless and the maps/gun layouts are balanced and fun. So now I can safely say that the online portion of this game is great and adds to the already excellent single player. This is a great standard to set for Wii FPS games :)

The only thing I miss is the excellent sever search that MOH:H2 had in it. I like being able to pick the games I join. Besides that its a great start for HVS.

Just played some multiplayer....sigh. My first online match was laaaaaaaaaaaagggy. My second match started with a black screen where I had to reset my Wii. Finally got into a non-laggy, non pitch black game and.....I am not the biggest fan I must admit. It feels like a basic Halo game. Shooting just feels like I am spraying people, ammo looks like glowing balls. Levels arent super awesome. Before I get flamed, I do plan on playing MP more.

...i do hate to say it but........COD WAW Wii is a more solid FPS Multiplayer game. Maybe its my taste in FPSs.

Great single player story and gameplay. I started it on the elevated difficulty and it is quite challenging with the enemies rushing me and whatnot. Also like how enemies come from behind, above, and in front which keeps you on your toes.
Voice acting is well done and I like the background atmosphere you are creating with the radio stations and other secondary storytelling. I will have to admit that I do get feelings of the original Halo and Perfect Dark
while playing the game, which is great :)

Controls are amazing just as expected and the customizable options are just superb. I really appreciate being able to adjust every detail that is conceivable.
Customizable buttons should be on every console game period,
it has been in every PC game for years now so its good to see at least 1 console game offering this option.

The online is a mixed bag for me. While I LOVE the options, voting, maps and interface of the online experience. Nintendo really needs to get MORE servers and beef up their networking capabilities. I had lag in some of the games that I played online (2 out of 4 games) although it was release day so maybe there were tons of people playing.
I also only played a couple games and I don't see many others complaining about it so it may have just been a location thing. Still an amazing game though and I think the single player alone is worth the price, very fun.

Finally, I hate to say it but maybe HVS should go to EA to publish The Grinder. As much as I HATE EA, they do have good servers and online co-op requires even more net code ;)

Great job HVS!
Look forward to continued emails from me with impressions of The Conduit and more ideas/suggestions for The Grinder ;)

Well single player is about what the reviewers are saying. Kinda dull, similar level design, and not so great story or character build up. But unlike what the reviewers say, it's the norm for most shooters.

Now multi player is extremely fun. Did a good job there. Exceptional multi player with average single player is good enough to purchase for most.

Its time to understand what the 'shipping date' means. Many gamers mix the 'shipping date' with the 'release date'. The conduit starts shipping today and will be released tomorrow ;)

As for the sales of this game, I really hope for over 100k first week. That may be high but Im generally optimistic and hope this game sets a bar for future wii FPS games!

Not sure about it, ONM UK wasn't highly enthusiastic about the game, only 76%, while they normally give high rates to exclusive games on Nintendo platforms. Sales wise I don't think this game will sell well. Shooter fans don't have a Wii, they have a PS3, 360 or PC. Every reasonable gamer out there even with a Wii knows that pretty well.

I also just noticed that the Limited Edition is in the best sellers at EB and the game is still a couple months from release. Great news IMO!

I am actually really excited for HVS since they will have a great engine and great team to work on future wii games with the same amount of passion and skill. They really are showing many 3rd parties how to do it!

Great to hear that you can add friends without the codes. I hope they have some kind of screen that shows you when your friends are online, like it did with the Brawl friend roster.

I personally am still optimistic with this game and think it will sell over 300k in the first week. If enough people pre-order it could even be higher. I can't imagine it getting less than 100k the first week. Spread the word and help get the game some attention to non-game site reading public :)

This game are going to have a sale number of 130 000 worldwide first week. Then after 3 months the game are going to hit a solid million. But the big sale hit is going to be in christmas beacuse now when Modernwarfare 2 isnt coming to Wii then SEGA can make a huge christmas advitasing and then we can se a 2 million seller.

Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Call of Duty: World at War, House of the Dead 2 and 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles??? All these games are core and some even hardcore. Core gamers are out there. Wii games have major legs despite the first 2 weeks of sales. I think 80k in the first 2 weeks for MadWorld is awesome. House of the Dead: Overkill is and will sell awesomely. 500k point will be broken by both games.

I used to hate first-person shooters when I played them on ps2. Then I played them on Wii and it was a completely different and pleasing experience. If you gave Metroid Prime 3 a shot then why not this? This has 16 players online with wii speak, amazing graphics, a unique storyline. tru tru. but i agree with TheConduit. The Conduit will outsell KillZone 2 because of a larger userbase. I can not wait to see reviews for The Conduit. I see a 9.5. IGN will not give it a 10 in graphics because they are repeatedly saying the framerate drops since like september and HighVoltage did nothing to improve it. 9.5 is good but i want to see The Conduit be the first Wii game to get over 9.5. I hope near 9.6-10. 10 if the framerate is constant or if they make it 45 frames and even if it drops, it will drop to a 30.

Not likely, why would a PS3/360 owner purchase a Wii for a single FPS title when said systems are already loaded with them. Aside from controls, which they would havr to actually play it first. This is for "hardcore gamers" who already and only have a Wii, or gamers with Wii and another system who want to balance out their collection.

You might talk to people who go to IGN or read Game Informer alot, but alot of gamers I know play games more then look on the computer or read magazines, so most have no clue about upcoming games like Conduit/ House of the Dead/ etc, and won't unless something is put into the advertising to reach the GENERAL public. Nintendo talks about expanding the audience, well, it's expanded to people who might enjoy "hardcore" games such as these, but aren't going to make effort to seek out such games unless it is right there on a medium they already know. They aren't going to know what IGN is, or read game geek mags. I'm just saying that some more effort in advertising would work. I agree it's not even finished yet so I will give it time, but again, some of these commercials that are on IGN would work on actual television. Samba has DLC, RB2 has DLC, GH: WT has DLC, some people STILL don't know Wii can do DLC, because the commercials about them (such as the one for Samba up now at IGN) never reach the TV. BTW, I am thinking T rating based on what I've seen, unless there are some insane cut scenes we haven't gotten a glimpse of.

I don't even care if I see it more then once, but just to show that some of these "commercials" and "trailers" for this game reach people who don't sit at a computer. It would show SEGA actually wants to advertise this game to the general public. Maybe actually have Best Buy put it in their paper? It seems retailers only push shovelware for wii. The argument "crap sells well on wii" can go both ways. If people don't know whats out there for it, they won't buy it. Ex: Most ads showed Call Of Duty: WaW ONLY for PS3/XB360, as in they show a pic of either one and list "also avail on" for the other. Wii wasn't even mentioned in there. This game has ALOT of potential, I really hope it is executed well.

From what Ive seen this is a good game.
With proper marketing this will be a good start to Wii competing for the hardcore audience
Wii games have a much lower percentage of overall sales in the first week and day then Xbox 360 and PS3.
So look at sales a year after release.

EA will not being publishing this game. I have said that any times to different people. HVS already stated that the game will most likely use friendcodes. They also said that their publisher is some what large and like to support the wii. This has the nintendo smell all over it, but I would like capcom aswell.

Offline multiplayer is comfirmed, but it isn't splitscreen. Wiispeak is not confirmed, but will most likely be in it. Motionplus is not a good choice for this game anyway.

The summary is actually wrong. HVS has already chosen a publisher, they just haven't told anyone who it is yet.

Do you think the gamecube could pull off those textures,shaders,or that number of polygons???? Also btw this game is probably in beta stages. The game isn't going to be released until 2009. Plenty of time to pull off something nicer.

there used to be hardcore on Wii in 2007 bu they moved away and are still moving because 3rd parties ony put their hardcore games on Ps3/Xbox360, also many people pirate hardcore games on Wii which certainly deosn't help

I enjoeyd the game a lot, I usually don't play FPS, but on Wii I find them more fun and easier to play. It's a good game, and it sold ok, and I'm glad it did. Hope it generated some earnings to SEGA and HVS :)
