stof says: So that's Wii fit's legs. Quite impressive. Pretty good opening for Link's Crossbow training when you consider that the Zapper is already out there.
And the PSP is really coming in to it's own lately. Good for it!

Oyvoyvoyv says: 97K by Link no Bowgun (it's crossbow, so no Bowgun) is higher than expected by me at least. It could possibly come close to WindWaker in sales, at 800K
Why does WF see a boost? I can't see any reason for it.
MKWii has outsold MK:DD in Japan, in just 4 weeks! Impressive! This leads to the question of how big AC could be for Wii over there. It should beat MK there.
Too small a boost for SSBB, I'm afraid it isn't gonna outsell the original by much.

Blacksaber says: @Oyvo
I'm assuming you mean its not going to beat Melee by much in japan only. Posted on: 05/08/08, 00:21
Oyvoyvoyv says: Melee sold 1.3M, it has already done that. So no, I mean the original. (Melee didn't sell that superb in Japan*)
*Because of the install base really. Posted on: 05/08/08, 00:35
clapiotis says: I said 100 prayers in order for the page to upload properly. Somebody fix that. Posted on: 05/08/08, 00:37
stof says: huh. Mario Kart Wii's 4th week in Japan sells greater than it's 4th week in Others. That's unexpected. Posted on: 05/08/08, 00:41
Meh, I'll give it to you this week, but Pac-man's mouth is never that wide open. 85 percent is as wide as it's mouth gets.
OT: Boring
MHP2G is doing awesome, as is MK Wii. Posted on: 05/08/08, 01:02
trestres says: @DmeisterJ, what?? You and a couple more said Pac-Man was minimum 75%, this week Nintendo has more than 73%, so its about there.
Excellent to see such boost for Wii and also DS. Both Software monsters. Link's Crossbow training selling really well, I remember a user, i think OT7, telling me its sales were ugly and had flopped, crow is served.
Wii Fit is selling dangerously well 2 million already, Wii sports 3 million, MKwii million seller!!
Japan turned into Nintendo land, theres no return. Posted on: 05/08/08, 01:31
FinalEvangelion says: Good for Valkyria - doing better than I had expected. This kind of game seems to be the type to appeal to PS3 owners in Japan. Posted on: 05/08/08, 01:44
Hephaestos says: umh?? how does 5% of userbase shows appeal? Valkyria is 100K of 2M.

FelmanX says: I'm always amazed to see Monster Hunter still on the top 5 list Posted on: 05/08/08, 02:27
Stever89 says: Not a bad week. I think I did pretty well in the prediction league. I had PS3 hardware too high (that Golden Week boost is pretty sad) and too low on Wii hardware. Software I haven't really checked but it looks pretty good. Though I got pwned by Mario Kart Wii. Posted on: 05/08/08, 02:32
stclam says: my Wii zapper(from ghost squad)' B button is jammed, that's means i need a new zapper.................... Link no Bowgun Training? Posted on: 05/08/08, 02:48
roadkillers says: Lol MHF2G took only 6 weeks to pass Wii fit. Posted on: 05/08/08, 03:01
Well, Valkyria is in a genre where even established franchises struggle to reach 100k.
It's doing very well for an SRPG on an unpopular console. Posted on: 05/08/08, 03:06
jkimball says: PS3 is more dead in Japan than Xbox is in Europe. I can't imagine coming back from this. By the time FFXIII comes out everyone will already have a Wii. Posted on: 05/08/08, 03:18
arsenal009 says: more wii HW than ps3 SW Posted on: 05/08/08, 05:03
OT7 says: @trestres:Well,hello first,partner,but I don't say such a thing,if you look carefully to my post history you can notice that I'm a impartial guy,you made a mistake with me,but that's ok.
In topic:Good sales for Link NBT,the PS3 needs extreme measures to stay afloat, more RPGs are needed, like the new one from Capcom/Namco in September.
Astounding PSP sales, they defy any logic. Posted on: 05/08/08, 05:13
MP3 has increased its sales past few weeks..
Next week may be low but still Posted on: 05/08/08, 07:49
XiaoMay says: Oyvoyvoyv : wrong. Like all Nintendo Games it will sell for years from now on, so it will probably double its current score easily. Posted on: 05/08/08, 10:09
sep85dd says: Valkyria is from Sega, so i think, Sega could become the most important 3rd Party Developer for PS3 in Japan, like they was it for Gamecube in the last years.
PS3 is doing good in Europe and Americas, so i think, Sony is not looking to Japan so much, there is PSP, who sells very Awesome.
But I had expected, PS3 is going on 20 Million after 2 Years...Like the PS2.
DS is sinking very slowly but continous in Japan, and the World, because there are very much under classed Games for it. Posted on: 05/08/08, 10:46

Chadius says: Wow, only 10k PS3s. Sony needs to do something to boost sales. On the plus side, the PSP hardware is consistently outselling the DS. Then again, the software sales aren't even remotely close. Posted on: 05/08/08, 17:46
hunter_alien says: MHP2G and PSP are still kicking as hard as ever . MHP2G outsold in 6 weks the mighty WiiFit :P Now lets sit and wait for the inevitable port of MH3 :P Posted on: 05/08/08, 18:38
