Shadow of the Colossus for PlayStation 4 is a remake of the PlayStation 2 cult classic title Shadow of the Colossus, re-built using ultra-high definition art assets and featuring improved performance, as well as optional improved controls and PlayStation 4 Pro enhancements.

The original game was developed by Team Ico and published by Sony Computer Entertainment on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, while the PlayStation 4 remake is being developed by Bluepoint Games with assistance from JAPAN Studio and launches in February, 2018.

The game puts players in control of a man called Wander, who must enter a forbidden land and defeat 16 massive colossi in order to revive a girl called Mono, with the assistance of his faithful companion, a horse called Agro. It is frequently cited as an example of games as art, thanks to its desolate atmosphere, unique gameplay concepts, the personality exhibited by the massive colossi the player is tasked with slaying in order to revive Mono, and the emotional bond the player develops with Agro over the course of the game.
