"Already crossed a million. This is gonna sell better on 360 than Halo 3." Halo 3 sold 15 million copies. Lol

Very disappointing effort from Bungie. Gameplay wise better than borderlands, but the story and lack of NPCs make the entire experience feel lackluster. The repetitive vanguard missions are pathetic. The strike concept is okay with me, but the loot system sucks and there needs to be more strikes. The RNG system even seems to benefit players who do worse perhaps to make up for their feeling of sucking at the game. Bungie was accused before of communistic tactics during Halo Reach where they first removed Ranked playlists from Matchmaking and replaced it with credits and a random match bonus. If there were 10 strikes I'd be okay replaying them, but with only five on xbox I constantly play the same one in a row. The perks on weapons is a cool idea and does work well, but there isn't enough variety at a base level to satisfy overall. There is not enough unique animations and models for the guns. There is suppose to be a fantasy influence to the game, but it's only in your abilities. None of the weapons do anything crazy like you would expect...probably to save ideas for DLC. That's the main problem is that this game is clearly set up like an MMO. Bungie doesn't want to call it that, but it has all the problems. The only saving grace is the tight gunplay and fun combat. PVP is okay, but I only really play FFA/Clash. The game overall was overhyped, and Bungie's first mistake was revealing the game too early. I'm sure it got pushed back so it wouldn't compete with Titanfall sales (it might have been part of the legal settlement with respawn for all we know). It feels like in that time some elements that were promising were cut down either by console limitation or corporate investors pushing it to DLC. If you have nothing else to play right now it's worth picking up, but you're basically paying for a prologue when it comes to story so just be aware of that.

I played the beta on 360 and X1. This version holds up surprisingly well. The biggest advantage on 8th gen versions is resolution.
