Oh, and by the way, it hardly flopped.Since it did use many assets from the first one, the development cost of this game was probably wayyy lower than the first, making it profitable with less sales. Message | Report

@Paatar by recycling I think he meant that the game uses too much assets from the previous game, which is correct.I felt like 50% of the game was parts that they copied and pasted from the first one, from enemies to locations.And even though the game have many improvements over the first Bravely, it lacks the ambition of the first one due to these reuses, in my opinion. @Reveur, no, this one doesn't recycle. It lets you do the side quests again at some point so you can get all the classes but that's it. It is a much better game than the first. Message | Report

The flop is understandable. People were so put off by the recycling in Default that they didn't bother with this one. I certainly didn't. I've also read this games recycles as well, so that's not going to attract people. Message | Report
