Its a big shame that Party lol animals sold better in NA.

yea, the original is definitely stealing sales from this one.
And I don't understand why they didn't put the advert with the cartoon...

I think the original is stealing sales from this game on a certain level. It'll be interesting to see how this fares throughout 2009.

This game is much like the previous just lots more to do, with some nice tweaks. If you enjoyed the first pick this up ;)

Maybe this will reach 500k by next christmas. *sigh*

Egghead posted 05/01/2009, 01:02
310k isnt bad, and you have to remember this is a low cost game given that its mostly recycled from the first game (but to good effect)

The Christmas sales for this one have unfortunately been lackluster, with the original receiving far more sales (which could partly be attributed to bundling). It's rather disappointing :(

Bundling not a good idea, otherwise after bundling the game would simply stop selling, and theyd rather bundle it later. KFP, SST and IJ are proving good forces in driving sales so far, the Arcade is doing REALLY well

300k by years end and 800k LTD, this will have legs.

It would be wise to bundle this game with an arcade or pro SKU.

Already looks as if its showing legs .. 500k LTD would be nice.

The orginal VP is a lot cheaper than this one.

This game will sell for 2 years or more .. It's a million seller.

I hope it will be at 20$ in December

Not surprised this is selling like crap. Shows not many would buy this if it wasn't bundled.

It's a shame this isn't doing better, however I think segajon has a good point.

It should still be quite popular at Christmas and this is a game that will benefit from word of mouth (possibly because of what segajon said).

I still think this will have good legs, I also think the casual gamer is looking at how bad vp party animals was non relising that it was not developed by rare. The bad rep of party animals could hurt this game unfortunately.

VP was heavily bundled in Europe, FYI. However, it sold all of its 500k+ in the US. It definitely was a slow burning title.

2 weeks in and at 90,000. Not bad for VP 2. Could be a little higher since Media Create says that VGC was off on VP2 in Japan.

I seriously find it hard to believe how Viva Pinata 1 did, considering everyone is crying how poorly that sold, how can it now be at 1.47 mil? The game has some crazy legs in EU, again it all sounds too good to be true

Being released b4 all the big games this holiday should help Pinata 2 sell better than the first.
