It's tracked but I think there ara very few copies out there, so it's gonna stop at around 1.05 mil.

It was out before the 360 version. When I bought my copy at Gamestop it was $20, 360 version was $60. Didn't care too much for the online mode.

Jeez, you make it sound like 360 versions of multiplat games are infected with a disease O_o. I've played both versions, they're equal in performance and graphics, however 360 has online, a few tweaks to the game and some extra costumes.

Are thes right? the .49 sales because if u look at the cahrtz of it for the ps3 and the 360 they only add up to .49

Fair enough this version doesnt have online play but then again the 360 version isnt an option as beat em up fans know about the dpad. This game requires extreme precision so the dpad must be perfect. I rarely play this now. I would still be playing it if it allowed oyu to put your character on a memery stick to take around to your firends house. We always used to do this with other games on fridays. Not including this feature was very lazy. This game is brilliant just missing a few features that would make it perfect.

@leo

They haven't said anything like that so don't assume that...That's also the reason I don't have VF5 yet, no online.

Squire

Im pretty sure they will make a patch to include online.

this game has no online, and this fact is really sad, but the game itself is amazing. i don't like the stage with ancient walls and mud but all other are ok

I've heard (without any references whatsoever) that the VF series is more popular in asia, and Tekken is more popular in the US. However, it seems like the real difference is that VF is more popular with people that are really into fighting games, because it is quite a bit more difficult to master.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but as far as I can tell, the PS3 version only supports using the D-pad. It makes inputting some of the moves rather difficult (e.g. moves where you have to hold down "right" and "down" at the same time, or semicircles.)

I cant believe how ps3 games are actually taking over the top games list(they say the ps3 games suck) This game I own is awsome online, but not so good alone 9.5/10

Sales don't determine the quality of a game. Are we really gonna disagree on this?

Anyway 3D fighting hierarchy in my humble opinion:

Virtua Fighter > Soul Calibur > Tekken > Dead or Alive

As in gameplay-wise this is the best 3D fighting game ever created by man!

I agree VF franchise is much deeper than Tekken... but button masher? Please. Soul Calibur is a button masher.

On another note VF4 outsold Tekken 5.

jonboy101 posted 09/06/2007, 05:44
Sells have nothing to do with it. Tekken is a button masher that a chimpanzee could master. VF actually requires thinking.

The game is selling like this because the PS3's a flop. Its currently the 3ed best seller on the system there jackass

if tekken sold that much it would be a disgrace.. i bet tekken dark ressurrection on the PS store has sold more than that.. even though it only costs 20 dollars but still...

i never understood why everyone said the virtua fighter series is better than the tekken series when the tekken series has always outslold it??

Quite possibly the greatest fighting system on a home console, combined with the breathtaking graphics that the PS3 is capable of reproducing results in this, the greatest fighting game ever made.
