Just played through it again, and damn... It really is as good as I remembered. It's crazy how the two best JRPG's (this and Chrono Trigger) came only a year apart from one another. Message | Report |

yes it does matter. the snes is the best version and the ps1 version is 2nd because its pretty much the same except it has load times and the gba one sucks because they changed all the text so its not as funny and the music sounded horrible, and sometimes the music is one of the most important part of a game. ok i think this game is overrated. its not a bad game, and it has a rich story but there are little things about it that piss me off. like how all the character names are capitalized that really bugged me i went thru and changed them. and i thought there where too many characters, i dont really like any of the characters either, they arent bad but it just didnt click for me. i realllllly hated the colosiuom because u didnt get to pick your commands and everything was random!! what where they thinking! Come on, 7.8 of average? I voted 10, this game is probably the best RPG in history, and in my top 5 easily. And even if I played the game for the first time more than 10 years after it's release, it was still an extrordinary experience, which tells a lot about the quality of the title. I don't want to be parano, but I suspect that a lot of Sony fanboys/FFVII fans gave poor scores to that game in order to see FF VII well ahead. Message | Report |

Remember, Final Fantasy was only popular in Japan at that time. It wasn't until FF7 that it was cool to play the series in America. Now it's going back to being only for nerds. Shame. Message | Report |
