Outside of Starcraft I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better RTS. Or one thats more played.

It was pretty much perfect then and its still awesome now.

I still play it online.

I want a remake in 3D though - but it's only ½ a year left to the 10 year anniversary.

It's a great game and I spent many hours offline and online playing it. Custom scenarios rocked, especially the 'blood' ones.

I remember that 'rookie' was used to define new people and now it's changed completely to 'F-N NOOB!!11'. It's sad really.

Agreed with FreeTalkLive rocks!
This proves that, just sometimes, even Microsoft can release something of great quality: MS-DOS, Win 95, Age II, The Conquerors, Rise of Nations and Service Pack 2 for XP are their only good releases. This is the best RTS ever, along with Red Alert
