In 50 years, I expect that I will look back and consider Morrowind to be the best gaming experience I ever had.

Ryudo, do you have a preferred openworld RPG that was better in 2002? I can't think of any.

I don't get why people like this. It's ugly and broken. Awful game

2nd best game in history. Playing it with superb graphics mods at the moment, looks almost as good as Oblivion.

As usual with games that give me endless possibilities, I never finished it. It's like in real life: If you give me too much freedom, I'll never finish anything.

So much great memories, hundreds of hours gameplay and collecting items.

I put alot of time into this game. Now I can make retardedly powerful characters in a day. Newest character I made. 20 or so hours of work put into him.

Name: Rockhard
Race: Nord
Class: Custom
Level: 112
HP: 1288
MP: 400
Weapon: Spear of Bitter Mercy
Armor: Saviors Hide, Masque of the Clavicus Vile, Those two epic gloves, boots of blinding speed, and several enchantments that give me 101 chameleon, 29 jump, water breathing, and Nighteye. All the blindness of the boots are cancelled out. This character is a GOD.

This game literally invented new shades of brown that no one ever knew existed.

This game was really take open world concept to the edge and tosses it over. Too many things to do and places to go.

Charac.: Briton Mage
Level: 3
Class: House of Hialuu [apprentice]; Mages Guild [apprentice]; Blades Guild [novice]

This was one long game like 80+ hours with so much freedom.

The GOTY fixes most of the bugs. And you can switch to 3rd person view (at least on PC).

Best western RPG since 1992 for me. I was very sad about all the "improvements" in Oblivion. Obviously a dying kind of RPG in this mass-market time of video games :(

I didn't like this game, I had the GOTY edition and I like a free roaming game, but with more direction than this could offer.

It really depends whether or not you like having TOO much to do.

Anybody want to hype me into buying a used copy of this? My Xbox hasn't been getting much love lately, and I've been feeling like trying a quality wRPG. Playing a game like this from the first person seems just a bit weird though. =/

Khajit Assassin was my first character.

My second was a Redguard something, possibly a Rogue, but I can't remember exactly.
