@ puggsly- And there's also the fact that this game came out in 2007. Valve titles such as left for dead sold twice as much a year later on the console. We'll see how portal 2 does though.. In any case , the "this is a PC game" thing is bullshit. And holy shit guys... How is 1.4 million on one console bad? That's not even counting the phoned in ps3 version. Message | Report |

Best value game of 2007. Easily in my all platform top 5 games of 2007 as well. Spent 40 hours playing TF online and in the region of 30 hours playing h2 / e1 / e2 / portal. HL2 and E2 are both FPS single player campaigns at their very best. E1 is good but not quite to the same high level. Portal is fantastic for its humour and originality, at roughly 4-5 hours long its also a perfect length, any longer at the idea might have started to become stale. Sales of 700k are pretty good considering its core demographic are PC gamers. I eagerly await Episode 3 and all future Half Life games. Message | Report |

The reality is half-life 2 was released years ago and it was primarily a pc release. The orange box itself would easily be above a million if you include steam and retail pc sales. I hope this eventually gets above a million on the 360, but it seems a bit dead atm. Message | Report |

Okay, if you own a 360 or PS3 and dont own this game (and judging by the numbers there are still a bunch out there that passed this up!), take yourself to your nearest videogame retailer and buy or trade your way into owning this game already... Yeah...the box is ugly and it contains a flawless port of a PC game...so what! Why will that stop you? Play it, don't look at the box artwork and think this is some re-hashed crap! I mean really...what more of an incentive do you need than three separate episodes of Half-Life (One the greatest FPS series EVER...just go ahead and try to argue with me on that one) (I did say...one of...) On top of that you get Portal, an interesting FPS "distraction" of a game, that is truely original and interesting. And TF2 IS the weak link in the chain, but its still entertaining... This is a great game for ANY FPS shooter fan and if you can't figure out the storyline, you may need to dust off your PC and seek out a copy of the original Half-life and start there so you can get your fill of "Black Mesa" info and history. The original Half-Life is still a great game today, even if the graphics may look "shoddy" compared to the new gen of consoles and PC games. Tetris may be a simple game graphically, but it's still a great game. "The Orange Box" should have been called "The Golden More Bang-For-Your-Buck Than Any First Person Shooter On The Market Box". It's sort of ironic. This is seriously one the the best games but this is probably some of the worst box art i've ever seen. ever. A third grader can do a better job. It's really no wonder that this game did so bad sales-wise. People look at the box and say "that game looks shitty". They aren't able to tell the golden egg is inside such an ugly box. This game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are "off the chain", especially for half-life. TF2 is so fun. The comical look with the class dynamics is great. And portal is simply fantastic if if weren't too short. But if you have a good pc that can run this you should probably get it for that. It's a little better on pc (especially TF2). But it's great on xbox also! It is a must have and it is truly a shame it didn't do better in the sales. Message | Report |

i love half life 2 for pc. i just wouldnt want to buy it for 360 becuase it would ruin my pc shooter exprience and would make me not like the game as much. but for 60 bucks this is a steal for the younger console gamers and the ones who arent pc gamers. im saving up for mass effect right now! hopefully ill have enough money by the 20th Message | Report |

Probably because this is the page for the 360 version of the game. You don't go into certain game pages for the purpose of bashing it. Anybody with common sense would see this. It's the same reason on IGN or Gamespot or any site with moderators you can't go onto individual game forums and discuss other versions and call certain versions crap on their own pages. Everybody knows ssj12 anyways, one look back into his posting history should tell you the difference between and opinion and somebody who's opinion somehow always involves trolling certain systems.
