It's money better spent in something that would actually help, like funding the next AA/AAA project from a capable studio like Hello Gamesish. Fifa will grow on xbox as long as xbox is growing, so it's a natural growth as expected from fifa, but there's no evidence the marketing deals make that much of a difference for fifa or xbox. Fifa sold more with every iteration on 360 as it was being advertised on ps3, and the yearly growth isn't that much of a difference compared to 360 with xbox one having the rights now. EA don't need the money and it's better allocated elsewhere Message \| Report

The sales disparity is big in favor of PS4. But it still does pretty damn good on Xbox thanks to these bundles and ofcourse helps move hardware. Message \| Report

Getting exclusive advertising rights to such a big franchise isn't cheap and you have to question the logic when it sells so much more on Playstation. It's over 3:1. Microsoft are basically paying to advertise this for both xbox and Playstation as everyone knows it's on both. Message \| Report

In my opinion, I think companies like EA get involved with MS because they want Xbox to succeed. Less competition doesn't benefit consumers or developers when Sony can call all the shots. What does it matter if investors want to spin off Xbox? MS can see the value of Xbox even if investors don't. Fortunately for MS, Xbox isn't bring down the company like all the poor investments Sony had going and sold off. I don't know the financial situation of Xbox One. I know 360 was profitable in spite of losing billions early in its life. I know PS3 was never profitable because it lost so many billions. I doubt X1 is losing money like 360 and PS3 ever did. So maybe X1 is a profitable and worthwhile endeavor for MS. But I'm sure you hope its not. Message \| Report

There are more than one way to make money off of the Xbox not just the console itself there is the sofeware, Xbox live, accessories , and other. Hell, look at the Xbox Elite controller people were saying the $150 dollar price is too expensive but it sold out EVERYWHERE and Microsoft says they will be a limited amount until December.
