I kinda hated this game. They say you can custome your char, but at the beginning you can barely change anything about him! Talking to people took forever aswell, this game does not deserve to reach 2 million, not even 1 million. It's a one time rental that's all. Besides all the glitches, graphical and others, this game owns. Although the side quests do get so boring after a while, cuz they are all the same, explore an uncharted world, find a tunnel which looks like all the rest, kill a bunch of enemies. Great game though 9/10 Message | Report |

Oh I am so sad. I was playing this when my XBOX red ringed. I was about only 4 hours in. Now I am going to have to wait nearly a year before I am going to get to play it because I am only going to get a new XBOX when then new redesigned (ALL problems fixed) model hits stores, which I read somewhere will be at the end of this year. No one is getting their panties in a twist. Just pointing out that the data was unreliable in this specific case for those who cared. This was proven to be correct as well since VGchartz has retrospectively adjusted every week of sales for this games multiple times. 80k sales have been added to the first week and the second week was doubled, that's just america too. This game did sell 1M copies in 3 weeks. It was actually stated by bioware employee on the official forums before the microsoft guy mentioned it. Publishers frequently round numbers up for their announcements, and it isn't even clear what numbers Microsoft is talking about. If a game is on the shelves of a store, then they've already been paid for it, and they consider it sold. Even if it was a mistake on the behalf of VG Chartz, that stuff happens. Historical software and hardware are very reliable, but recent software still jumps around from time to time. No reason to get your panties in a knot over it. Message | Report |

The incredibly thing is that VG Chartz has retrospectively adjusted Mass Effects sales figures upwards each week since release but is still so far out. It innitially reported opening week American sales as 180k then adjusted to 220k the next week and has now adjusted to 260k. Second week sales were also adjusted this week. Lets wait and see next week if all 3 weeks of sales are adjusted upwards again to start to compensate for those 300k unit sales it's missing. Message | Report |

Wow Parokki, I have to completely agree. My mom was complaining about how everyone in the game was incredibly well developed. They really are, especially when you consider how the entire asari race is sexually attractive blue females. Could it be that the article means sold to retailers/not consumers or do the numbers need to be upward adjusted? vgchartz added like 30-50k on american first week for some reason. the sales are disappointing for such a big game, i guess 360 owners are scared of RPG, even though this is what i would call a hybrid or diet rpg or something, lotta shooting elements in this game. vgchartz often inflate numbers and are way off, especialy in 360's case as well but generally all around, so these numbers are most definitely lower. i dont think it will reach 1 million until summer or something unless they amp up the commercials like crazy(even more than they already are). they shoulda saved this game for early 08 cus this holiday is kinda crowded and they have a paltry 08 lineup on 360 so far and this woulda gotten more attention then. This game is absolutely fantastic. It's like a fusion of FFXII and a squad-based 3rd person shooter. And the story and dialog is done very well. The only real problem is all the glitches in the geometry and technical things that. The I'm sort of sorry it didn't do as well as assassin's creed. It deserved as much. Message | Report |

A lot of people are calling it a flop because it sold so far below their expectations. 360 games generally sell very well on their first week or two, only to drop really quick, and there's absolutely no reason to believe this game will be any different.
