@Zucas - I agree. If Nintendo supplied more they could easily sell a ton more over the holidays since they are always sold out (at least in the US). Unfortunately Nintendo is very consevitave about increasing production of hardware (Wii, Balanceboard, Wheel) so they limit how much they can sell. I don't think they mind making people wait to buy their products until the exchange rate for US Dollar and Euro to increase compared to the Yen. Message | Report |

The thing is how much can it really sell extra in the holidays. I mean it'll be dependent on how much extra Ninty produces because this isn't like a normal game as a peripheral is along with it. Nor is it some cheap plastic mold like in Link's Crossbow Training or MK Wii which can mass produced easily. I mean selling on average about 300k-350k a week on normal weeks that would mean about 700k-1000k in a peak holiday weak but I don't think Ninty would be able to get that much out haha. But this might easily be the biggest holiday title not only on Wii but possibly in gaming haha. But definitely well over 11 million by the end of the year. I'm seeing about just under 12 million by the end of the year with multiple weeks over 500k during big holiday weeks. Message | Report |

A little advice, sseing that this game is as hot as it has ever been. I hope I can give you guys a better chance to get WII fit. The only way to increase your odds is to be the early bird. The early bird always get the good stuff, plus with this game beibg so popular, early people that don't want it buy it because they know it is must get title. There is 2 days of the week that one would have to wake up early. (Sunday & Wednesday) Sun is circular startup, if you see it advertised the odds are in your favor that they WILL have them in stock. ed is another good day becase most games get released on this day. But remember this, if they do get a shipment chances are they are all gone during the first hr. Early birds like myself are alwats happier because I was able to get it on launch day. One last piece of advice, know store openining so you can give yourself better odds. EX: BB opens at 7am, target at 8 abd CC at 9. Just figure out the quikest root and yiu will have a fighting chamce. GOOD LUCK my fellow gamers. Message | Report |

Finally found this game after weeks of searching. Store said i was lucky, they had just received stock a few hours earlier and expected to sell out before the days end. But its funny no matter which store you go to, there is always someone looking for or asking about Wii Fit. Kids especially seem to be going nuts for it. Anyway got the game. Wow, this game does actually give you a workout, esp. the pushups/side planks. Man I didn't know how pore my balance was until I started doing yoga on the balance board. Laugh all you want, but I think this may actually help me improve some aspects of my health. And by the way this is coming from someone that the board considers in the normal BMI range. Never underestimate the power of the Touch Generations games. Wii Fit is unlikely to catch up to the PS3 in 2008, but 2009 is a whole other can of worms. I am liking the look of this more and more, it's pulling me in, although the price is still pushing me away, admitedly it is a lot better value than Guitar Hero which is the same price but you can't use the guitar for anything else. Perhaps when some other games use it well I will buy it, I was thinking of waiting for a price cut but it's likely to stay the same price for a good 2 years at least, so it would be a long wait. I bought Wii Fit yesterday, my wife had read about it in a ladies magazine, apparently a boxer woman had tested it and given her recommendations. We briefly tried it yesterday, and my first impression is actually quite positive, from a health/excercise point of view. I haven't had time to really try out the games other than slalom so I can't comment on the gaming aspect much. Message | Report |

I don't know about that Montana. I hate to use the f-word but exercise equipment/routines that get mainstream coverage become very successful fads. Not with the typical gamer crowds but the general population as a whole. With the right PR and marketing support WiiFit should sell millions in the US also. I don't know if i'd go as high as ben and say 10M WW but it looks to be able to do at least 2-3 million in Japan alone (very conservative given that it's currently supply constrained and will hit 1 million in a week or two) so i'm guessing 5-7 million would be a safe bet if not more. if you got bored of wii sports after a week you either have no friends or don't like fun. seriously, what is wrong with you. that game is so simple and so incredibly fun and one of the best multiplayer games out right now. the reason why its so popular is cuz you don't have to be a gamer, or like a certain genre, or be able to master difficult controls, you just have to be in the mood for fun. if you don't like it you are way too biased against nintendo and need to try and just enjoy good games instead of hating something just because it happens to be trouncing your console of choice. anyway please sony fanboys stop saying ps3 is gonna win this gen, you have been sounding very pathetic for like half a year now. or at least just throw all your sony is gonna win posts in one thread so no one has to read the BS except for other lost and confused fanboys. This tells a lot about the Japanese audience if this is the number one game. Maybe if western developers want to sell better in Japan, they should stop making anime RPG's, and start making simple games like this one. Personally, I think this is a casual game , and it is a little to gimmicky for my taste. I would have to agree with destroyer and Renar on this one. Actually, I come close to agreeing with destroyer. Like with nintendogs, I'll probably be fasinated with the novelty of it at first. Amused by its 'in-depth simplicity', that is, simple to use, but lots of feed-back from it. But in a few weeks, get bored by it. And be bemused to find out, like nintendogs, the game/attachment finds one or more niches in the marketplace and go on to sell 15 million and counting. Who knows, I might even find myself in one of those niches. And the rating? Yeah, wait to play it first. But does it matter for this type of game? Nintendogs is at 7.64.
