Well although it looks like its faltering remember this hasn't hit a holiday season yet. Once it does it'll be able to get more mainstream awareness per se and those increases will probably increase its weekly average for the year in 2009. Still got a long ways to go for this title. Probably around 8 million by the end of the year and will work up to 10 million by the end of 2009 if it goes accordingly. Message | Report |

Almost to 7 million and once it gets passes 7.08 million it'll be the best selling SSB game ever. By region SSBM sold 1.45m in Japan, 4.49m in Americas, and 1.14m in E/O. Thus SSBB did a decent amount better in Japan while tracking alot faster in the other 2 regions. Remember SSBM sold well throughout its lifetime. SSBB will more than likely have the same things meaning this title should do a lot better. Considering it's already doing by region about the same in 1/4 of the time, this game could go on to do 10 million if not more. Message | Report |

Well it didn't sell out any shipments, it had a launch expected for the popularity of the franchise (albeit low for the popularity of the Wii), and it would go against the trend of long term legs for the game. All the other territories had a large dropoff, I'd expect at least a decent sized dropoff for Others. Message | Report |

This game will definitely surpass Melee by the end of the 2008 Christmas season, most likely more. I think the VG Chartz data is quite accurate; Nintendo said at the end of March that Brawl's sales were 4 something million. Now, 2 months later, 5 something million is really accurate. The guy who said that the developer is HAL is the "novice" HAL did absolutely NOTHING, except for loaning Sora some Melee codes. Plus, add the fact the Wii has only been out 18 months and Smash Brawl has already hit 4.9 million....the legs this game will have for the next few years will probably get it to that 8 million mark at least. This game is doing so well. The Jp sales has already surpassed ssbm life sales and at this rate I expect it'll out sell the jp ssb. And I'm feel confident saying the "Other" sales will smash the melee sales when ever it's released. About another million in american sales and it'll match melees. Great game, but the online is unusable. It takes 5 minutes to find someone, and then the game lags REALLY BAD and then errors. I actually haven't played one good match that didn't lag horribly and error, and I've tried like 50 times. Message | Report |

Also Montana, friend code online is lag free unless one of the 2 people playing is laggy. If you haven't been in a lag free friend code match, odds are (unfortunately) that your internet blows, and that all of us should avoid you at all costs. Message | Report |

Oh man, the excitement when you first get this game is just phenomenal. I think Alice Cooper's description of "Schools Out" can safely summarize it: "What's the greatest three minutes of your life?". you can turn on the deflicker option to reduce lagging or try using a lan cable instead of Wi-Fi to play. Usually its the other person's connection. Message | Report |

1.3m is highly unlikely - I agree. But it's far from impossible. Luckily, there is enough time until it's European/Others release that it's totally possible for Nintendo to pump it up. I doubt they find that to be that terribly big a deal, but you never know. Message | Report |

Going by current numbers, SSBB would have to sell 1,369,467 copies minimum during its launch week in Europe to pass Halo 3's worldwide launch numbers. Which seems... borderline unlikely, unless Nintendo really gets the hype going and makes sure that a huge shipment reaches Europe for that first week. I honestly doubt they'll bother going to the trouble; Brawl will have legs that Halo 3 can only dream of. Message | Report |

Fought the urge to buy a Wii just to get this game and I'm glad I did so after playing it at a friends house. Not saying it's a bad game or anything, there's just not enough changes made to this installment of the series from the last one. So much to the point where I never really felt like I was playing a new game. The new features they added are nice and all but they're just too gimmicky and add very little. Online is alright, but I believe is only worth playing with people you know through friend codes (which technically could be done in melee) and without any real methods of communication it doesn't really come close to actually sitting there playing with a group of friends. The random matches are limiting and unrewarding. Hopefully Nintendo will get their act together when it comes to online gaming for the next Smash Bros. tl;dr : IMO this is the most overhyped game since Halo 3. Message | Report |
