AS funny as that comment was, it is so not true. Wii has plenty hardcore games that are not necessarily Mature. Now hardcore games are being made and released that are Mature. Sure this game and MadWorld did not sell amazingly, but they will sell enough to ensure profit considering the low budget costs for Wii development. If it took 5 million each to develop games that means the total cost was 10 million. Add another 2 million for advertising. Both games combined sold 500k copies at full price. If SEGA sold each copy to retailers at $30 that means that 30 times 500000 = $15 million. That is 3 million profit already. Even if the development cost was a bit more, they would be in profit already. With no price drop for Overkill, and recent price drop for MadWorld, sales will increase and profit will increase. This game is a House of the dead franshise which will mean that it will sell very very slowly but in a very long run. Its like Street Fighter IV, sure the sales are maybe small but it will sell in a long run. So in one year this maybe will become a million seller. Message | Report |

considering it hasn't seen a price mark down in the u.s., i wouldn't worry too much about its sales and segas expectations... though they have been more aggressive to capitalize on the increased interest in the game in Europe with price promos as for the game coming to japan, don't hold your breath, this is a very western-conceptualized HOTD... they would have to change a lot to get past JP ratings, much of the concept would be lost on JP gamers and HOTD fans it def would be a risk, the game could get attention for its western look or completely bomb for not following the traditional HOTD arcade look Message | Report |

1million copies will sell if they drop it down to 10$ and I don't see why they don't because the cost is shipping/packaging/and manufacturing, because the game is already out it has already been made they should just keep doing price drops on their games when the game isn't selling instead of giving up on the game, and not printing it anymore...........not like they make the game everytime they just copy it anyway, it's probably the best way to sell a hardcore game on wii........ This game costs $69AUS when I got it. This is cheap, since most games here are around the 90-100 mark AUS, which is double the $50US. so in real terms this is a $35US game here. The limited edition one with the 2 x cannons, is $100AU. (plastic gun shells for the wii remotes). Message | Report |

I actually enjoy this game a lot more than I do MadWorld. It's just way more fun. If this game were a movie, it would be Scarface meets Evil Dead, taken and directed by Quinton Tarantino. As far as dialogue and music go, it blows MadWorld sky-high out of the water. The gameplay is simple, but it is varied and fast paced. I just found MadWorld (at least the first 45 minutes) to be very dark and repetetive. Again, different audience; MadWorld is for Comicbook nerds (whose wet dream is a steroid pumped psychopath who just spends his time killing people in black and white), whereas House of the Dead: Overkill is for movie geeks who are into the whole B-Movie and over the top movies from the 70's and 80's scene (IE. Army of Darkness for a B-movie, A Clockwork Orange or Scarface for the movies that did/almost got an X-rating). Solid package, best soundtrack on the system (and one of the best of all time), I would argue the most fun script as well. One of my favourite Wii games to date. Message | Report |

SEGA released 3 of its 4 most anticipated wii titles of the year. The 3 of them being Hotd:O, Sonic and the Black Knight and Madworld. These three sold 300k as of now. More than half of which is HotD. But soon Madworld will kill it. And then soon enough The Conduit will kill all of them. Message | Report |

Great game with an over the top story. Agent G and Washington are the best odd couple that i have seen in a video game. You can feel the love between them. One thing that was kind of a bummer was that it was way to damn easy and short. Playing the story mode and updating just the regular hand gun and the regular shotgun I beat the game in less than 3 hours. Playing in the directors mode, the first couple chapters were a bitch with more zombies coming after you. Then I updated to the automatic shotgun to the max and the Hand cannon. Flew right through the game. One shot kills are great but it made the game way easier. I am not a fan of on rails, but this game made me a believer. If they add an online to the sequel, that will be bread and butter. Message | Report |

Game will not sale as much as it could have in the US. When I bought my copy at Gamestop the clerk let me know that they were almost out because they only got 6 copies in and that would most likely be the last of them. He was trying to get me to pre order a copy of Madworld while doing this. Also saying that they would only be getting in 3 copies of the game. Message | Report |

In an interview Sega and Headstrong mentioned a possible sequel, and a while back something was said that if 2 and 3/overkill do well, HOTD4 might be ported to Wii, which would be great. @boneark, ive never seen commercials for those, but you're probably right aboud CoD having them. It's just rare for me to see the Wii version advertised anywhere else though. (it takes too much ink to add "Wii" after "avail for 360 and PS3" on most store paper inserts) Anyway, this game is a blast. So much to unlock, a directors cut that adds a surprising amount to the game, and lots of fun gore. I hope this does well, and not just from a hardcore M rated standpoint, but its just that fun of a game/well put together. This gamed also comes with an ad for Madworld (as well as an unlockable trailer in the game itself) and an insert for Conduit, so I'm all for spreading the word on other good looking games. Easily the BEST rail shooter available for the Wii. The style is fantastic and the music is really really good. Add in a funny story with excellent voice acting and tons of unlockables and upgradable weapons. This game is really fun! You will NOT see commercials for this game, it is VERY hardcore and the marketing budget is small. Its hard to get a screenshot that doesn't have blood, brains, and guts all over the place ;) Spread the word about this one, very good time! Message | Report |

I blindly bought this game and have been having a blast with it ever since! Yes, it is VERY vulgar, but it lends to it's B movie vibe very well. I don't think I will ever get sick of this game. Bone- they could never advertise this game on TV. It's not like your average bloody shooter. This game is so vulgar among other things, there's no way anyone, even Sega, would risk advertising this. SEGA thank you... for releasing a true light gun game that will challenge even the most hardcore gamers and give them rewards as well. This will blow away all other light gun games for some time to come. Unless of coarse they decide to release an updated Panzer Dragoon Orta or sequel ;) Dismemberment, decapitations, slo-mo, grind house style and comedy, and unlockable/upgradable guns!
